“Well," said Pooh, "what I like best," and then he had to stop and think. Because although Eating Honey was a very good thing to do, there was a moment just before you began to eat it which was better than when you were, but he didn't know what it was called.”
― A.A. Milne, Winnie-the-Pooh
For all our local honey-bears we now have wild forest honey for sale!
This year we are limited to 40 jars since we saw an unspeakable number of hives surrender to the weather (and CCD) in 2016. So we've saved just enough for our secret stash and the rest is for you!
So what is so different about our honey? Our bees happily forage along the Niagara Escarpment (possibly taking the Bruce Trail itself) to gather nectar from oak-maple forests, wild grapes, mulberries, blackberries, basswood, magnolias, black walnuts and more. This honey has a persistent and lingering taste reminiscent of what can only be described as sweet delicate flowers. It is a very sweet, thick honey with wonderful aromas and tastes of apple, rosehips, and wildflowers.
This honey is also raw. It has not been heated, pasteurized or processed in any way. It is worth it to taste this unique honey just for one time and then ... you will love it!
Honey - 250 grams, $6 (no tax).
Bee sure to save your jar until next year so you can save $2 off your hunny refill.
