or
Nettle Leaf

Latin Name: Urtica dioica

Gàidhlig: Deanntag or Feanntag

Nettle leaf tea is my favourite tea for allergies. I like to recommend just a simple cup of nettle tea with local honey if it is available.

This herb is not only rich in vitamins and iron, but it is one of the best remedies for anemia. Stinging nettles are great at aiding blood circulation and acting as a stimulant. Also used for hemorrhage, arthritis and eczema.

Used externally for scalp and hair problems.

Usage: prepare an infusion using 1 heaping tablespoon per cup of water; or 1:1 dry plant liquid extract: 30-60 drops in a little water 1-4 times per day.

**A loving reminder: Medicinal plants deserve a great deal of respect and a strong measure of common sense and a bit of education is always recommended before administering any herbal remedy on yourself or anyone else. Don’t forget to research! Learning about plant id fun.
